Sourdough Lemon Cake

This is another cheater cake using a mix. When my daughter asked me to make a lemon cake, I didn't have time to experiment, so I used my usual formula for making sourdough cakes. You may substitute any flavor cake mix for this formula. Enjoy!

1 box lemon cake mix (I used Duncan Hines)
2 tsp cornstarch
1 cup starter
1/2 cup oil
1-3/4 cups milk or ricemilk

In an 8-cup glass measuring cup, mix wet ingredients. Add dry ingredients. Mix well with an electric mixer. The more air you whip into the batter, the less dense your cake will be. (I mixed mine for 2 minutes.)

Pour batter into a well greased and floured 9x13 glass dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 25-30 minutes.
